ThaaLam Support
ThaaLam is an offline metronome and tala practice companion for iPhone, iPad and Android.
Quick help
I cannot hear the click
- Check the media volume, not just the ring volume.
- Make sure the play button is showing the stop icon.
- If Bluetooth headphones are connected, confirm they are the active output.
- If you use a silent switch, ThaaLam still plays through the media channel; an active Focus mode or another audio app can still take focus.
The count-in is silent or longer than expected
Open Practice on the metronome screen and check the count-in bar count. For a tala with an eduppu, the count-in is phase-aligned to the requested start point, so the first click may not be on beat 1.
How do I export my practice history?
Open the Practice tab, scroll to Export, and choose CSV or JSON. The file is shared through the system share sheet. Nothing is uploaded.
How do I clear practice history?
Open Practice, choose Clear in Recent sessions, and confirm. Goals and presets are kept.
Tap accuracy seems consistently early or late
Open Settings → Tap calibration and adjust the value. The engine estimates output latency, but Bluetooth routing and device speakers can still differ.
The click drifts or stutters
ThaaLam schedules clicks from rendered audio frames, not a UI timer. If you hear a problem, please send the device model, iOS/Android version, audio route (speaker, wired, Bluetooth) and what changed.
