ThaaLam Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 October 2026
ThaaLam is an offline metronome and tala practice companion. It does not require an account and does not collect, transmit, sell or share personal data.
What ThaaLam stores on your device
- Metronome settings, including tempo, meter, subdivision, accents, layers and tala playback options.
- Saved presets.
- Your local practice history: session times, durations, tempo and tala context, practice modes and tap-accuracy summaries.
- Display and feedback preferences, such as haptics and calibration.
This information is stored only in the app’s local storage on your device. It is not uploaded anywhere. Deleting the app removes it; the Practice tab also provides a clear-history action.
What ThaaLam does not do
- No accounts, sign-in or cloud sync.
- No analytics, advertising, crash reporting or telemetry.
- No network requests. ThaaLam works with the radio off.
- No access to your microphone, camera, contacts, location, photos or health data.
- No tracking across apps or websites.
Permissions
- Haptics / vibration is used only for the optional pulse feedback.
- On Android, the optional playback notification uses the notification permission. It shows the current tempo and transport state.
- Audio playback continues in the background so the metronome keeps time while the screen is locked or you switch apps.
Children
ThaaLam does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
